1. Copy the data files (.vmdk files, .vmx VM descriptor, snapshot files) via ssh to the ESX server.
2. In the Vsphere client, open the tab "configuration" and select "storage".
3. Right-click on the datastore and select "browse".
4. Browse to the .vmx-file, right-click and add it to the server.
